Wondering what a body lift would cost for your case?

A free video consultation with your surgeon gives you a straight answer and a full written quote.

Start with a free consultation

A body lift in Thailand with Beauty Butler costs from THB 269,000, about AUD 11,470 or USD 7,980. Adding 360 liposuction brings it to THB 409,000. Both prices cover everything for the surgery itself: your surgeon, anaesthesia, a JCI-accredited hospital and your hospital stay. Your recovery hotel, nurse visits and transfers come with our hotel package, added to your quote.

Losing a lot of weight is a huge achievement. The loose skin left around your waist, hips and back is simply what stretched skin does. A body lift is the operation that removes it, all the way around. This guide covers what it costs, who it suits, how long to stay, and what is included.

Beauty Butler is a Bangkok-based medical tourism agency that coordinates cosmetic surgery for patients from Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK.

Key Takeaways

  • A body lift (also called a belt lipectomy or 360 tummy tuck) costs from THB 269,000 with Beauty Butler, about AUD 11,470.
  • With 360 liposuction of the abdomen, waist and lower back, the price is THB 409,000, about AUD 17,430.
  • Plan to stay in Bangkok for about three weeks, so your surgeon can clear you to fly.
  • In Australia, a 360 abdominoplasty typically costs AUD 20,000 to 30,000 for the surgery alone (Plastic Surgery Hub, 2026).
  • You meet your surgeon on a free video call before you pay anything.

What does a body lift in Thailand cost?

A body lift starts at THB 269,000, and THB 409,000 with 360 liposuction added. Here is how the price is built. Every figure is per operation, covers everything related to the surgery, and is confirmed in Thai baht.

  • Body lift (360 tummy tuck / belt lipectomy): THB 269,000 (about AUD 11,470 / USD 7,980 / £6,030 / NZD 14,270 / CAD 11,370)
  • 360 liposuction added on (upper and lower abdomen, waist, lower back): THB 140,000 (about AUD 5,960 / USD 4,150 / £3,140)
  • Body lift with 360 liposuction: THB 409,000 (about AUD 17,430 / USD 12,130 / £9,170 / NZD 21,700 / CAD 17,300)

Currency conversions are approximate, based on October 2026 exchange rates, and move with the market. Your quote is always confirmed in Thai baht.

Your surgeon decides at consultation whether liposuction will improve your result. It shapes the waist and lower back, where many patients still carry some fat after weight loss. If it adds nothing for your body, it is not in your quote.

What the price includes

At Beauty Butler, the surgery price covers everything related to the operation:

  • Your surgeon's fee, anaesthesia and the operating room at a JCI-accredited hospital
  • A private hospital room with nursing care
  • A pre-surgery health check and medical clearance in Bangkok
  • Post-surgery medication and your compression garment
  • Follow-up consultations with your surgeon, including after you fly home

Your recovery stay is added separately, because a body lift needs about three weeks in Bangkok. Our hotel package is good value and covers:

  • Your recovery stay in central Bangkok, with daily breakfast
  • Daily nurse visits at your accommodation through about the first week
  • In-room lymphatic drainage massage, given by a separate therapist
  • All transfers: airport, hotel, hospital and back

You see both parts in one written quote before you pay anything, and the number you are quoted is the number you pay. Our guide to what a Thailand surgery quote should include explains each part in more detail.

What is a body lift, exactly?

A body lift is an operation that removes loose skin and fat in a full circle around your lower body. The cut runs around your waist, low enough to sit under most underwear. It tightens the belly, the sides, the lower back and the top of the buttocks in one operation.

You will see several names for the same idea:

  • Body lift or lower body lift. The general term for lifting the skin all the way around.
  • Belt lipectomy. A belt lipectomy is the surgical name for a body lift. "Belt" because the scar runs around you like a belt.
  • 360 tummy tuck. The same operation, named after a tummy tuck that keeps going around the back.

A standard tummy tuck only works on the front. It removes skin from hip to hip and tightens the stomach muscles. A body lift adds the sides and back, which is where loose skin often sits after major weight loss (Cleveland Clinic).

If your loose skin stops at your hips, an extended tummy tuck may be enough. Our tummy tuck in Thailand cost guide covers the mini, full and extended options. Your surgeon will tell you which one fits your body, and why.

Who is a body lift for?

A body lift suits people whose weight has been stable for a while and whose loose skin wraps all the way around. Most patients come to it after bariatric surgery, a GLP-1 medicine or a long diet and exercise journey.

You are usually a good fit if you:

  • Have loose skin around your waist, hips, lower back and buttocks, not just at the front
  • Have kept a steady weight, and are not planning to lose or gain much more (Cleveland Clinic)
  • Are in good general health, and do not smoke
  • Are comfortable with a long scar in exchange for a smoother shape

Timing matters more than anything else. Surgery done while you are still losing will leave skin loose again later. If you are earlier in the journey, our guide to planning excess skin removal after weight loss covers timing, blood tests and protein in detail.

Two patients who took this path

Patients who have lost a lot of weight often want more than one area treated. Racheal travelled from Japan after losing 100 pounds. She had an extended tummy tuck, an arm lift and 360 liposuction with Dr. Note at World Medical Hospital, and stayed about two and a half weeks. Read Racheal's full story.

Lori, from North Carolina, lost 87 pounds and chose an extended tummy tuck with liposuction. Her husband came with her for the two-week stay. Read Lori's story.

Can you combine a body lift with an arm or breast lift?

Yes, many patients ask about this, and your surgeon decides what is safe in one operation. It depends on how much skin needs removing, your health, and how long the combined surgery would take.

These are our current prices for the most common add-ons, each as a standalone operation:

  • Arm lift: from THB 129,000 (about AUD 5,500 / USD 3,820)
  • Donut breast lift: from THB 139,000
  • Anchor (inverted-T) breast lift: from THB 190,000

When you combine procedures, you receive one written quote for the whole plan. Some patients do everything in one trip. Others split the work into two trips, months apart. There is no fixed rule, and a good surgeon explains why they suggest one or the other.

For more on these, see the arm lift in Thailand cost guide and the breast lift in Thailand cost guide.

Who performs body lifts, and where?

Most body procedures we coordinate are performed by Dr. Atikom Tanadpojanamart (Dr. Hope) at Vimut Hospital in Bangkok. He is a Thai board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 15 years of experience. He is also the ISAPS National Representative for Thailand.

Dr. Note, a Thai board-certified surgeon with more than 15 years of experience, also performs large body cases. He operated on both patients above at World Medical Hospital.

Both hospitals are JCI-accredited. You can read about every surgeon on our panel on our surgeons page.

At Beauty Butler, you have a free video consultation with your surgeon before you pay any deposit. You see how they think about your case, ask your questions, and only then decide.

How long is recovery, and when can you fly home?

Plan to stay in Bangkok for about three weeks after a body lift. That is longer than a standard tummy tuck, which is usually about two weeks. The operation is larger, and drains often stay in for a while.

A typical recovery looks like this:

  • First days: You stay in hospital in a private room. Nurses manage your pain and help you walk early, which helps your circulation.
  • First week: You move to your recovery accommodation. Your own registered nurse visits you every day for wound and drain care.
  • Week two: Swelling starts to ease. Drains often come out around now, and lymphatic drainage massage helps with the swelling. Most patients enjoy a short, gentle outing.
  • Week three: Your surgeon checks your healing and clears you to fly when you are ready.

At home, avoid heavy lifting and hard exercise for about six weeks (Cleveland Clinic). Your shape looks slimmer right away, but swelling takes weeks to settle. The scar fades over many months, though it never disappears completely.

After you fly home, your surgeon stays available for follow-up video consultations whenever you need them. Our team is one message away, and our revision policy is published in writing. For more on travel timing, read our guide to flying after cosmetic surgery.

Is a body lift riskier than a tummy tuck?

Yes, a body lift is a bigger operation, and the risk of a wound problem is higher. Complication rates after body contouring in patients who lost a lot of weight run between 20 and 70 percent (ASPS, 2026). Most are wound-healing issues that settle with care, not emergencies.

Three things lower your risk, and you control two of them:

  • A stable weight before surgery
  • Good nutrition, especially enough protein, in the weeks before
  • Close care afterwards, which is why our hotel package includes daily nurse visits

Your pre-surgery health check in Bangkok confirms you are ready. If a blood result is low, a short delay to correct it is far better than a wound that struggles to heal.

How does the price compare with home?

A body lift in Thailand usually costs a fraction of the price at home, even once you add the recovery stay.

  • Thailand, with Beauty Butler: from THB 269,000, about AUD 11,470 or USD 7,980, for the full surgery and hospital stay. The recovery hotel package is added on top.
  • Australia: a 360 abdominoplasty (belt lipectomy) typically costs AUD 20,000 to 30,000, and a lower body lift AUD 20,000 to 35,000 (Plastic Surgery Hub, 2026).
  • United States: the average surgeon's fee alone for a lower body lift is USD 11,397, before anaesthesia, hospital and other costs (ASPS).

The gap comes from lower wages, lower hospital costs and the exchange rate in Thailand, not from lower standards. Every operation we coordinate takes place in a JCI-accredited hospital.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a body lift cost in Thailand?

With Beauty Butler, a body lift (belt lipectomy or 360 tummy tuck) costs from THB 269,000, about AUD 11,470 or USD 7,980. With 360 liposuction of the abdomen, waist and lower back, it is THB 409,000. Both prices cover your surgeon, anaesthesia, a JCI-accredited hospital and your hospital stay. Your recovery hotel, daily nurse visits and transfers come with our hotel package, added to the same quote.

What is the difference between a belt lipectomy and a tummy tuck?

A tummy tuck removes loose skin from the front of the belly, from hip to hip. A belt lipectomy goes all the way around your body, lifting the sides, lower back and top of the buttocks too. It suits people with loose skin all around the waist, which is common after major weight loss.

How long do I need to stay in Thailand for a body lift?

Plan for about three weeks in Bangkok. That gives your drains time to come out, your swelling time to settle, and your surgeon time to check your healing before clearing you to fly. A standard tummy tuck usually needs about two weeks.

How long after weight loss can I have a body lift?

Your weight should be stable before surgery, and you should not be planning to lose or gain much more. Many surgeons look for at least six months of steady weight. Surgery done while you are still losing can leave skin loose again later.

Can I have a body lift and an arm lift at the same time?

Often, yes. Your surgeon decides at consultation what is safe in one operation, based on your health and how long the combined surgery would take. Some patients combine everything in one trip, others split it across two. Either way, you receive one written quote for the whole plan.

Is liposuction included in a body lift?

Not in the starting price. The body lift costs from THB 269,000, and adding 360 liposuction costs THB 140,000 more, for THB 409,000 in total. Your surgeon recommends liposuction only if it will clearly improve your shape, usually around the waist and lower back.

Will the body lift scar be visible?

The scar runs around your waist and is placed low, so most underwear and swimwear cover it. It is permanent, but it fades and flattens over many months. Sun protection and your surgeon's scar-care advice help it settle.

Who performs body lifts with Beauty Butler?

Most body procedures we coordinate are performed by Dr. Atikom Tanadpojanamart (Dr. Hope) at Vimut Hospital, a JCI-accredited hospital in Bangkok. He is a Thai board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 15 years of experience. You meet your surgeon on a free video call before you pay any deposit.
