Vikki, a school teacher from Perth in Western Australia, decided it was time to do something for herself. At 62, after years of caring for others as a mother and educator, she chose to move forward with an extended tummy tuck.
From the beginning, clear communication played a key role in Vikki’s decision. Beauty Butler responded promptly to every email, explaining the process clearly and professionally. She never felt left waiting for answers, which gave her confidence early on.
Another important factor was aftercare. Although Vikki had travelled alone before, travelling solo for surgery felt different. In the lead up, it was natural to feel nervous, but consistent reassurance and clear explanations helped ease her concerns and build trust in the process.

Vikki’s surgery took place at World Medical Center, a private hospital in Bangkok, where she stayed for one night. When she woke up from surgery and returned to her room, she immediately felt reassured by the environment. The space felt more like a hotel than a hospital, which helped her relax and feel at ease.
Her surgeon was Dr Note, a well known plastic surgeon in Thailand. Vikki appreciated his calm approach and clear communication, especially as he explained each step and answered her questions thoroughly. Despite feeling nervous beforehand, the professionalism of the medical team and the hospital environment helped her feel safe and supported.
What surprised Vikki most was how manageable her recovery felt. As promised, she was able to go out after about a week and begin enjoying simple activities again.
Staying at Dusit Suites added an unexpected social element to her recovery. Patients from Australia, England, and different parts of the world stayed at the same hotel, often meeting for breakfast or dinner. These shared experiences helped create connections and made recovery feel less isolating.
Thirteen days in, Vikki felt she was heading home much like she arrived, but with a flatter, tighter tummy and a strong sense of pride in her decision.

For Vikki, aftercare stood out as the most important part of her journey. She felt consistently supported and reassured throughout her recovery.
Nurse Fah played a central role, checking in regularly and responding quickly whenever Vikki had concerns. On day 13, just before returning home, Vikki wanted reassurance about her belly button. Nurse Fah visited, took a photo, sent it directly to Dr Note, and received confirmation almost immediately. This fast, coordinated response left a strong impression and provided peace of mind before her return to Australia.

Beyond the medical care, Vikki was deeply touched by the kindness of the people in Thailand. From the hospital staff to the team at Dusit Suites, she felt genuinely cared for throughout her stay.
Even the hotel manager came to personally say goodbye, a moment that made her smile and feel truly welcomed. With minimal pain, ongoing support from Jane and Nurse Fah, and new friendships formed along the way, Vikki describes her experience as overwhelmingly positive.
If Vikki’s story resonates with you, Beauty Butler is here to guide you through every step of your journey. From careful planning and surgeon selection to extended aftercare and recovery support, our team ensures you never feel alone.
